Today’s technology is not as it is now; we did not have the entertainment my kids have. The outside was my entertainment, and the closest thing to Elsa was our dolls that did not sing at a click of a button. I enjoyed my childhood, though, the world was my oyster, and I had an unreal imagination.
In this era, there are many electronics for my kids to help them learn and grow their imagination the same way I was able to, everything is just more visual. Today, I’m going to share my favorite gadgets for kids, which are both educational and entertaining.
LeapPad
As my kids get older, I can’t help but try and even out their time on the iPad, or any screen for that matter. I love the LeapFrog Leappad3 Learning tablet, because they focus on creative thinking, writing, vocabulary, math, letters, and numbers. Your kids think they are just playing games they are learning! They can explore kid-friendly web content that has been pre-screened and approved by learning experts. Balance is important to my family and me, so I try to monitor their tablet time to 30-minutes a day and maybe break it up the 15-minutes earlier in the day, and before they go to bed.
Playskool Alphie
This learning robot helps your child learn to practice the alphabet, rhyme, count, learn different colors, shapes, animal names, instrument sounds and matching skills all in one robot. When you insert a card into his chest panel, the fun begins, and Playskool Alphie will light up teaching a new lesson. This Includes 30 booster cards and more than 350 questions and challenges.
Polaroid Camera
As a blogger mom, my kids have gotten used to the fact that mommy loves to take pictures. I like to remember moments with my family, and these photos can help me remember some of the best memories with them. A polaroid camera is fantastic because I want to see the world through their eyes. It’s fun to see them take pictures of what they would like to remember, or what is important to them. I try to remind them that it only has ten films, so to try and take pictures of things that they want to keep forever.
OSMO
Osmo is an award-winning game system that changes the way your child interact with the iPad by allowing them to play with the iPad, hands on. From drawing to arranging puzzles together, counting numbers it enhances your kid’s desire to experiment, explore and create. Osmo comes with seven hands-on games that can be used in several iPads, and last but not least on US orders shipping is always free!
